My Journey
Like many people today, there have been times in my past when I was just coping with what life had conspired to throw at me; swimming along with my head barely above the water line! It was a bumpy ride, at times, to say the least!
Then, 12 years ago, I was taken to a meditation group. I wondered how I’d be able to sit there for a WHOLE HOUR with my busy, chaotic mind constantly in overdrive or working through one of my endless mental ‘to do’ lists! To my surprise, I could and I did. So began my journey of practicing and studying mindfulness and compassion, which has changed not only my personal but also my professional life.
Life is often messy with pain and suffering all part of being human. How we react to these difficulties is, however, key. Mindfulness can give us techniques and attitudes to not only put challenging situations and emotions into perspective, but also help us to live life in a more positive, vibrant and harmonious way.
