🌷 Are you in need of a complete rest day?
🌷 Would you like some time out to find stillness and inner peace?
🌷 Are you keen to experience a day where you can drop responsibilities, chores and the ‘to do’ list?
🌷 This day of fully guided silent mindfulness is an opportunity to immerse ourselves into mindful meditation, movement and relaxation, and to explore the power of being in silence together as a group.
🌷 The structure of the day will be spacious and laid out for you, as we simply move from one practice to another, taking away the need to make decisions about what we need to do next. This will be an opportunity to spend time without our usual agendas and demands, stepping away from routines and responsibilities, our mobile phones, work and daily lists of things to do; replenishing and restoring balance.
🌷 The entire day and all of the meditations and practices will be fully guided, and we will be practicing as a group so, even though we will not be communicating in the usual way, we will find tremendous support within the group.
🌷 At the end of the day we will be joined by Sound of Yoga with Kat who will be offering a healing Sound Bath Journey; inviting you to relax into a held space of deep relaxation before we begin our return out of silence.
We will meet in the lovely, spacious Horton and Chalbury Hall with views over the countryside and towards the Horton Tower.
Feedback from previous retreats:
“I left with a deep sense of calm and serenity.”
“The combination of different meditations were guided skillfully by Kate. She dispelled any anxiousness I might have felt by her calm and gentle approach”
“A very nourishing day of well prepared and varied mindful activities, in a beautiful setting with lovely people”.
“I was surprised at how easy it was to remain silent and how nourishing the whole experience was.
“I felt the whole day was beneficial in so many ways. I arrived so tense and stressed and left feeling like I was floating on air, and I still feel relaxed and more in control; it feels amazing.”
What are the benefits of silent practice?
🌷 When we quiet down our speaking, our thinking may initially seem very ‘loud’ and active, but over time, there is an opportunity to really get in touch with an inner stillness as the mind begins to settle and completely let go.
🌷 We may become aware of the energy which we usually invest in speaking and our usual ways of communication, and how tiring this can be! Generally, people find that, over a period of silence, they are able to build up positive energy and can feel soothed by the freedom of not needing to speak!
